Welcome to Central Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan. Central Baptist Church is Southern Baptist Affiliated and has been growing in grace to the glory of God since 1959. Morning worship and the preaching of the Gospel is in English but the congregation is an international mixture of Japanese, Americans, Filipinos, Chinese, Canadian, and a host of other peoples from around the world. It is truly a blessing to see and hear people of different cultures and tongues in loving fellowship with one another through the communion they have in Jesus Christ.
Central Baptist Church is devoted to the teaching and the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Man was created in the Image of God to glorify and serve Him. Man broke that relationship so God sent His Son to reconcile us to Himself. At Central Baptist Church we preach and fix our eyes upon Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of our salvation.
Central Baptist Church has active children’s programs for kids of all ages. With a nursery program for infants, Sunday School for ages 3 to adult, and Children’s Church during morning worship, Central Baptist Church has activities and opportunities for all ages to grow to His glory.
Central Baptist Church has been and continues to be the center of much missionary work for the island of Okinawa, Japan. From mission work that teaches young children in the Christian Schools to English as a Second Language Programs (ESL Programs) to local outreaches and to ministry to the U.S. military stationed here, Central Baptist Church is a place to be ministered to as well as a place to serve in overseas ministries.
